The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Central Tongu, Hon. Dodzi Addison Mornyuie, in collaboration with the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Alexander Roosevelt Hottordze, has supported some Junior High School (JHS) graduates in the district with 100 chop boxes and mattresses ahead of their transition to Senior High School (SHS). The initiative is aimed at helping students and their parents meet some of the essential requirements associated with entering SHS. According to a post shared by the DCE on Facebook, the support is intended to ease the financial burden on families as students prepare to begin a new chapter in their education. “For every young person transitioning from JHS to SHS, a new chapter begins, one filled with dreams, opportunities and new responsibilities,” Hon. Mornyuie stated. He added that the gesture would provide some relief to the beneficiaries and their families as they take this important step in their educational journey. “For these young students and their families, this means one less burden as they take this important step,” he said. Hon. Mornyuie further wished the beneficiaries success as they begin their Senior High School education, emphasizing the importance of supporting young people to achieve their aspirations. “Their dreams matter, and their future matters,” he said. The collaboration between the Central Tongu District Assembly and the Member of Parliament reflects efforts to support students and reduce some of the challenges families face during the transition from basic to secondary education.
